At SmartSign, we pride ourselves in being a force for good in the community and helping out wherever we can. We have donated thousands of signs to various schools and nonprofit organizations such as the Wounder Warrior Project, TakeNoBullies, Transportation Alternatives and the Boy and Girl Scouts of America.
So, it was a no-brainer when Ryan Nesbitt, a Boy Scout from Cedar Park, Texas, came to us requesting the donation of parking signs. Ryan was working on his Eagle Project, in conjunction with an organization called “Heroes Night Out Veterans Resource Center”.
“Heroes Night Out” is a non-profit, whose goal is to provide a military friendly environment, with volunteers and staff who understand the hardships our heroes face. Ryan’s project consisted of adding and correctly marking three disabled spots to the parking lot and re-striping the lot to allow for better traffic flow.
Ryan had approximately 30 people helping him with his project. It took them two full days to re-stripe the entire lot and assemble and add the three disabled parking signs. It was a success and the benefactors absolutely loved the completed project.
We wish Ryan luck on the rest of his journey in becoming an Eagle Scout!
